Frequently Asked Questions
What should I wear and bring to class?
Wear comfortable shoes and clothes that a little clay won’t hurt. Please bring your own towels and aprons to protect your clothes from the best and worst of the muddy fun. We do have towels for cleaning but not for each student to use while creating. We provide all the tools and materials you will need for class.
Do I need my own tools?
No, we will provide everything you need. If you have your own tools and want to use them, feel free to bring them.
How do I register for classes?
Use the “Take a Class” link at the top of the page or click here.
Can I make up a missed class?
No. Due to the nature of our class rotation we cannot offer make up days for missed classes.
Please be sure of your schedule before signing up for classes. We often have a long waitlist to participate in our classes and have limited space available.
If you have to miss a class, you may be able to sign up for an additional studio session to make up for the time missed, if space allows. Studio sessions are for current and former students only.
When should I bring or pick up my child for class?
Please arrive no more than 10 minutes before your class so we can finish cleaning up from any earlier classes and prepare for yours.
We have adult classes starting right after the kid’s classes are over. Be sure to pick up your kids no later than 10 minutes after their class ends.
Do you host birthday parties or private group lessons?
We love hosting parties for adults and children ages 6 and up. We provide good clean mudslinging fun for groups of up to 12. If you’d like to host a larger party contact us as we can typically make special arrangements.
When will my finished work be ready for pick up?
Finished work will be ready for pick up 3 weeks after your private lesson, workshop or group class. Feel free to come by anytime we’re open to pick up your pottery. Often we will have special days set up for picking up your work as well.
How long do I have to pick up my work?
We will keep you bisqued or finished pieces for 45 days after your class or workshop has ended. If you are continuing to the next class session you can keep your work on your class shelf.
Can anyone come to a class lab?
Class labs are for current and returning students only. We do not offer open studios to anyone that hasn’t taken classes with us.
Is there an option for membership?
Membership is open to students that have completed at least two class sessions with us. Membership is a great opportunity to work on your skills. If you’re an experienced potter and would like to join as a member, contact us to discuss. The separate member’s studio in the back of our building is open to members 24/7. Prospective members will be added to the waitlist and can join as soon as space allows. More information is given in class. Feel free to contact us with questions.
